Tutorial : Introduction
This tutorial is designed to help get new users up-and-running quickly with Listec Pro News, teaching the most basic
procedures in a concise, step-by-step method. Since most of the tutorial sections build on concepts learned in previous
sections, it is a good idea to follow each lesson through and to perform all of the examples shown.
The tutorial is divided into the following sections:
Getting Started
Covers the basics of getting the system running, from setting
up the computer and related hardware devices, to installing
the software, running the program, and an introduction to
the Listec Pro News interface.
Working with Scripts
An introduction to the fundamental element of prompting:
the script. Learn how to create scripts, add text, edit and
add formatting, and save or open files from a disk.
The Runlist
This section discusses the runlist -- how to add scripts to it,
modify their order, and other operations.
Prompting
Teaches the essentials of prompting: switching between
modes, and how to control scrolling using the external
serial controller.
Printing
An explanation of printing script files, how to set
up formatting, and preview the script prior to printing.
